Athletics New Zealand has received information about this years Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship Programme.
The closing date for applications is 1st October 2012.

Athletics New Zealand has announced four relay squads to prepare for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Twenty one athletes have been initially named in the squads. The squads consist of athletes who have achieved the entry standards and have expressed an interest in joining the squads. The squad standards will be reviewed annually and will rise each year as the programme aims to field relay teams at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. The squads are:
Athletics New Zealand has selected Nick Gerrard to compete at the 2012 Oceania Combined Events Championships this weekend in the Decathlon. Gerrard is the New Zealand Decathlon champion. Paul Lothian has been appointed manager. The championship will be held in Townsville, Australia 5 - 6 May.

Oceania Regional Championships
Athletics New Zealand has announced additional selections for the team to compete at the 2012 Oceania Regional Championships in Cairns. The 8 additional athletes will join 27 previously announced team members. Martin MacDonald will manage the team while Gary Henley-Smith and Barrie Jennings have been appointed coaches.

Athletics New Zealand has announced their selections for the team that will travel to Cairns, Australia to compete at the 2012 Oceania Regional Championships in June.
Twenty Seven athletes have been named in the team that will be led by Martin Macdonald. The remaining team management members will be named shortly.

Athletics New Zealand has today announced that Ben Moynihan (Auckland) has been added to the team to compete at the World Junior Championships in Barcelona. Ben will compete alongside Julian Oakley in the 1500m after he ran 3:46.71 to achieve the A standard on 31st March in Auckland.
