As a Newly Carded Athlete
1. Once your carding application has been evaluated and approved by the High Performance Department (HP), you will receive an email confirming your acceptance into the Athlete Carding Programme. The email will ask you to fill out and submit the HPSNZ nomination and consent form and return it to the High Performance Department. Your nomination and consent form will be processed by HPSNZ and you will be added to the carding list. You will not be able to use any HPSNZ Services or receive any HP funding until you have been added to the HPSNZ carding list.
2. You will receive two emails from HP with details and instructions on how to login, update your profile, and use the High Performance website.
3. You will be notified of your Performance Planner and regional Athlete Life Advisor who can help to develop and assist in your planning.
4. ANZ-HPP Athlete Services Coordinator (Michelle Kiesanowski) will contact you regarding the range of performance services, service credit available, injury reporting protocols, and as well information on how to access those performance services.
5. You will receive an email from HP outlining the process and timelines of constructing your Individual Performance Plan (IPP). To confirm your carding status and funding support athletes and coaches will be required to meet with an Athletics NZ Performance Coach and HPSNZ Performance Planner to review your performance plans. Once an athlete has been allocated HP funding those funds can be claimed back by using the reimbursement form.
